United for D.C. Fundraising Contest
Win a pizza party for your team with a D.C. United player!
Each team registered to take part in D.C. United Soccerfest has the chance to partake in the fundraiser, benefiting United for D.C., the charitable arm of D.C. United. United for D.C.’s mission is to champion educational, health, and recreational programs and events that serve disadvantaged youth of greater Washington, DC by engaging the resources and skills of D.C. United and our community. Our main objective is to focus on reading and literacy as well as healthy lifestyles and life skills initiatives.
The Ultimate Experience Drawing
For every $100 a team raises, you will receive an entry into the “Ultimate Experience” drawing. For example, if your team raises $300, you will receive 3 entries towards the “Ultimate Experience” drawing! The more money you raise, the more chances your team has! The winning team from the “Ultimate Experience” drawing will receive:
- On-field recognition at the D.C. United game on June 25 at RFK Stadium
- An autographed ball for each player (up to 8)
- An opportunity to watch a D.C. United practice session
United for D.C.’s Fundraising Contest Grand Prize
In addition to these great prizes, the grand prize for the team that raises the most money will win a pizza party with a D.C. United player! The pizza party will take place at RFK Stadium on a mutually agreed upon date and time. The team will have this once in a lifetime experience as the result of raising money for a great cause!
Every time a team raises $100, you provide 10 D.C. United tickets to our Kicks for Kids participants, you give 35 books to an entire class of our United Reads students, or you supply equipment to 12 United Soccer Club athletes.
There are many fun ways in which a team can raise money. Here are a few suggestions:
- Have a family member or friend sponsor you in a juggling
- Have a family member or friend sponsor you in goals scored in a game
- Sponsor a walk or run
- Hold a Bake Sale
- Reach out to your neighbors
- BBQ event
- Lemonade Stand… the weather is nice!
- Host a car wash
